Book Review on Shaken by Tim Tebow

Shaken is a cross between a Christian encouragement book and a look into the life of Tim Tebow. The reader is given many examples of Tebow's life and experiences in professional sports. I personally did not know much about Tim Tebow when I read this book and so it was interesting hearing his side of things compared to what the media says about him. Tebow does a great job of relating each of his experiences to the Christian life. The writing style of the book is simple and easy to follow. Personal examples of people Tebow has helped work to bring the reader in emotionally. This book could be interesting to people in all walks of life and not simply those who are Christians or sports enthusiasts. I was given this book to review by Blogging for Books.

Book review on "Gospel-Centered Mom" by Brooke McGlothlin

This book is a must read for mom's of boys! Oftentimes I feel like my son must be the most energized child on the planet but Brooke lets the readers see a little bit into her life. She explains the ups and downs of being a mom to high energy boys and how to best deal with all of their energy. One of the most practical parts of the book was when she gives examples of how to fight for our children instead of against them. I would recommend this book to any mom feeling weary or stressed out. The book is full of practical ways to make your home and family more God-centered. I was given this book to review by Blogging for Books.

Book review on "The Last Arrow" by Erwin McManus

I recently received a copy of "The Last Arrow" from Blogging for Books in exchange for this review. The books overarching theme was to live life to the fullest and save nothing for the next life. McManus writes about personal examples from his own life as well as giving examples from lives of friends. He explains how God meant for us to live a big life and ask big things of him even though the average person has little faith. The book was easy to follow and well-written. It's a good book to read a chapter or two at a time but not much more than that at once. If you are in a position of making a big decision or looking for some inspiration about life in general, I would recommend this book.
